Intro to Unity

May 2021

My High School Junior year Game Design course taught me how to make basic 3D games in Unity, but for my final project, I wanted to venture outside of what we learned to make a short platformer in the 2D editor. I was very passionate about my idea, so I put all my other schoolwork aside and spent 2 days straight making the entire game. This included the music sound effects, sprites, pixel art tile maps, and the sprite animation tree system. I spent the most time, however, on the animated title screen and its opening chime and bit-crunched wind noises, as I was most passionate about making that presentation good. The art style was mostly inspired by Downwell.
