About Me

Perception is reality.

I love problem-solving in coding and making other digital things. I also love single-player story-driven video games and virtual reality. The interactive stories that have been able to be told through the medium of video games have impacted me like no other, to the point where I know I will be most fulfilled making them.

Virtual reality experiences take this a step further. They’re able to wow me and make me immersed better than any other medium. Apple keynotes used to be the most exciting thing to me, but VR is so enthralling to me that their product releases have kind of fallen to the wayside in my brain. (Editor's note: Yay Vision Pro!) No other medium has consistently given me as many moments where I experienced something so cool that I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. It has yet to stop amazing me. I am confident it is the future of computing.

I am much more of a mixed reality guy than an augmented reality one. Though I believe both will play important roles, one of my dreams is to have one headset with a high enough resolution to be a replacement for all my other monitors with infinite screen real estate. AR technology just isn’t going to be there anytime soon, as it can’t compete with the FOV or colors.

Virtual reality development is also one of the most rewarding things for me because the setup is more complicated than others and I can actually be inside the product that I created, as opposed to just looking at a flat screen of a website or something. I’m inside my digital world.
